Text on a Path 2

There are a couple of ways to get text on a path. One way has already been covered. In this tutorial we'll pretend that we've made some vector text, worked some more on our graphic and then decided we want our text to fit a path.

It would be nice if the text circled the flowers.

Create a new vector layer.

Choose the Shapes tools and select a shape. As you can see below I've chosen a circle.

Select the Object Selection tool .

Select the text and then holding the Shift key click on the shape. This should select both objects.

Go to Objects>Fit Text to Path. Your text should now be on the path.

I had a heck of a time with trying to make the path object invisible or hidden so all you need to do is select the layer that that path object is on in the Layer palette and delete it.

That's all there is to it. A simple way to put text on a path after you have your design elements done.

Have fun!
