Fade Correction We all have those photos that just didn't turn out right. Below is one such image. Although it needs a lot of work, Fade Correction is one of the tools I will use to work on it. You can get to the Fade Correction tool from the Effects menu. Effects>Enhance Photo>Fade Correction.
You normally would not set the amount of correction very high. So first try lower settings so that your image doesn't get distorted.
Below is the image corrected to a setting of 50. I didn't think that was quite enough and since I haven't really lost anything to distortion yet I decided to change the settings higher.
I set the correction to 100%.
Below is the resulting image. I still need to do a lot of other things to this image and as you can see the 100% correction setting was a bit too high. You have to play with this and make sure to keep your eye on all aspects of your image to see what distortion will happen with it.
Fade Correction is a quick way to correct color and contrast. For this particular image, using the other Photo Enhancing tools in Paint Shop Pro first would probably be the best idea. Fade Correction does not work on Black and White photos as there is no color to correct. If you want to correct just an area of the photo, make a selection before choosing the tool and then correct as necessary. |
