Pipes Create a new image 100x200. Set your foreground color to white and no background color. Choose the Pencil Tool set to Bezier, Vector selected and a width of 32, create a bezier line similar to below.
Your layer palette will look like the first image below. Right click on Layer1 in the layer palette and choose Duplicate. Right click on the Copy of Layer 1 in the layer palette and choose Duplicate so that you end up with something similar to the image on the right below.
Click on the eyeglasses next to the top two layers to hide them.
Click on Layer 1 so that it is selected. Go to Selections>From Vector Object.
Go to Effects>Blur>Gaussian Blur and apply the settings below.
Go to Colors>Adjust>Hue/Saturation/Lightness and apply the settings below.
On the layer palette click on the plus sign next to Copy of layer one to open it. You should see something similar to below.
Double click on Bezier under Copy of Layer 1 and apply the settings below.
Make sure Copy of Layer 1 is selected and then go to Layers>Convert to Rastor. Your layer palette should look similar to the one below.
Go to Effects>Blur>Gaussian Blur and apply the settings below.
Click on the plus sign next to the Copy of Copy of Layer 1 and apply the settings below.
Go to Effects>Blur>Gaussian Blur and apply the settings below.
Go to Layers>Merge All(Flatten). Your layer palette should look similar to below.
Since the ends look a little pinched I used the Freehand Selection Tool set to Point to Point and selected the ends of my pipe. I then hit the Delete key to delete the selection.
