DropDown Navigation with Javascript

Creating navigation in a drop down box is fairly easy once you get the hang of it. You can create a dropdown that works automatically upon a users choice or you can have a button for more interaction from the user. I personally prefer the automatic dropdown style. Try the dropdown above and then use your browsers back button to get back here.

In the script you will see some names like Navigation and Choices. Those are the names of the form and the select statement so that the script knows what we're looking for. This script can be modified greatly and is only presented as a snippet to get you started creating your own custom web site navigation.

You can see a modified version of this script at work from this link which will open in a new window. The only thing modified were the links to show you how it works.

NOTE: If you are using Windows XP you may get an active content warning. I'm not sure why that happens but the only script on the page is what you see above. In order for the script to work you will need to click on the warning and allow the blocked content.
