Creating an Ad Flyer
CorelDraw allows you to combine text and images in a way that makes it easy to create attractive advertising without having to have both a image program and a layout program. This is made possible and easier by being able to add normal text and paragraph text to your canvas.
We'll go over the basics using a fictitious company called Billy's House of Birds.
The first thing needed is an image of a tropical bird which you can find on the CorelDraw clipart CD.
Go to File>Import and browse your hard drive to find an image you want to use. Place it on your canvas.
Choose the Text tool to add the title or company name to the top of the canvas.
To create Paragraph text, choose the Text Tool and click and hold where you want the text to start. Drag a rectangle the size you want.
Add text to your paragraph triangle. The cursor should be there as soon as you finish dragging.
We've added another tropical bird to the right side for interest.
Use the text tool to add other text either normal or paragraph text and that's all there is too it.
Each object on the page can be sized and moved making layout a breeze.
