LEXMARK PM100 Personal Picture Maker Printer

The LEXMARK PM100 is an inexpensive high quality inkjet printer for printing images from your digital camera or PC. One of the major pluses of this printer is that is can be used "stand alone" or it can be connected to your computer. Either way it's a good, reliable, quality printer. The pictures I printed were perfect and high quality.

I was amazed at the print quality when printing images. You can load images from one of two different types of memory cards and from ZIP drives. Not only is the LEXMARK PM100 Kodak compatible, but below you will see the many different cameras that this printer is compatible with. This is a very versatile printer. If you need just a printer for your digital images the LEXMARK PM100 is for you because you don't have to have a computer connected to use this printer for that purpose. Think of all the time saved by going directly to the printer as opposed to hooking your camera into your USB and transferring the files to your computer. There is a big savings.

The LEXMARK PM100 has two slots for memory cards. One for SmartMedia(3.3v) and one for Compact Flash Type I(3.3v).

The LEXMARK PM100 will print up to 1200x1200 dpi and includes functions for editing including:  cropping, adding text, adding frames, panoramic prints, and borderless prints. You can even print on T-Shirt Transfer paper to create custom T-Shirts.

A feature I really appreciated with the LEXMARK PM100 was that when you print a dialog comes up and you can see how much ink is left in your cartridge. I suppose other printers have an option that you can go to your start menu and then programs and then to the printer software to check this. Having it pop up every time I print is very handy for keeping track of how much ink I have left. If you don't want to see it, it is very simple to check the box "Run Minimized".

 

 

Once you've copy your photos to an external storage source you can erase the photos from your camera card and reuse it.
