Fundamentals of C++
Fundamentals of C++ is a text book and is organized in true text book fashion. There are exercises at the end of each chapter and the answers to the questions are in the back of the book so you can check to see how close you come to being right. As each concept is introduced it is accompanied by a program that deals with the topic at hand. Explanations are clear and concise. The title of the book just about says it all. This book teaches you not only C++ the language but it also teaches you how to solve problems and programming techniques including algorithms. Some of the topics covered include Arithmetic, Variables, Input, Constants, Library Functions, Selection Statements, Repetition Statements, Files, Arrays, Structs and Classes, Recursion and more. Each chapter also includes "Communication and Style Tips" and "Notes of Interest". Notes of interest contain snippets of interesting information and short biographies on people like George Boole, and topics such as DVD, Object Oriented Philosophy, Careers and more. This is a book that will take time to work through. It is well organized and written and well worth having. Fundamentals of C++ Understanding Programming and Problem Solving |
