Acid Pro 2.0
As can be expected with every Sonic Foundry product I've come into contact with Acid Pro 2.0 is awesome. It is a tool for creating music loops. You can mix and match sound files on separate time lines to get just the sound you want. Use your own sounds or the sounds that come with Acid Pro 2.0.
With Acid Pro 2.0 you can adjust the tempo, volume, and timing of your projects. With the paint brush tool you can insert events across multiple tracks.
The CD comes with lots of wav files to get you started mixing your loops for the perfect sound. You can preview a file before moving it to a track by using the play button in the bottom right corner of the explorer window. You can also adjust the key your sounds are played in.
Acid Pro 2.0 also comes equipped with the XFX1 plug-in for adding some extra spice to your sounds.
You can also check and adjust the properties of each wav in your project from the properties tab.
You can save your creations right up to studio quality sound and you have many file format options.
Once you finished creating the perfect sound you have the option of writing to CD directly from Acid Pro 2.0. There couldn't be anything easier.
Acid Pro 2.0 comes with a manual to give you all the details you need but it's so easy to use you probably won't need to take anything more than a quick glance at it.
If you need to generate loops Acid Pro 2.0 is the application to have. Acid Pro 2.0 also integrates with other sound software like Cakewalk. You will need to have DirectX 6.0 or higher to use Acid Pro 2.0.
Acid Pro 2.0 comes bundled with the XFX1 DirectX plug-in and Sound Forge XP 4.5.
