WordToWeb 2.0

It's the first thing Monday morning and the boss walks in and says, "I want a web site and I want it soon." But, you don't know anything about creating a web page or writing that funny stuff called HTML. Now what are you going to do? You don't really want to tell the boss you don't know how, do you?

Do you use Microsoft Word? Well then, that's your answer. Well, that and a terrific software application called WordToWeb 2.0. WordToWeb 2.0 is an add-in to Microsoft Word 7.0 or later and will convert a Microsoft Word document into a fully functional working web site or pages without any HTML coding on your part. Yep, it will even link the pages together for you. And it will create a Table of Contents, an index, and link your Word cross references. You need to follow a couple rules in creating your Word document, but after that with a few decisions on layout, colors, and background, you're on your way to a web site. It will even create a frames based site automatically if you so desire. Don't confuse it with Word's built in HTML function. This is much better.

The help in WordToWeb 2.0 is wonderful. And as you can see from these screenshots even the dialog boxes detail out what you need to do.

With the click of a few buttons, your Microsoft Word document will be converted to HTML. It will even create a Table of Contents and an index automatically for you and also makes use of Microsoft Word cross referencing. You will get your first shot at doing this by converting the help files in WordToWeb 2.0 to HTML files and then will be able to view them in your default browser. Options to convert a Word document are placed in the file menu of Microsoft Word for easy access upon installation of WordToWeb 2.0.

If you are a programmer, you can write custom macros, scripts, or programs to extend the conversion capabilities of WordToWeb 2.0. Information about this is included in the User's Guide.

Creating web pages couldn't be easier, especially if you already have a Word document ready.  If not, Word is an easy application to compile all your information making it ready for WordToWeb 2.0 to convert into web pages for you. WordToWeb 2.0 can convert anything from a one page document to a large manual, splitting the document into HTML page size bites. You can also reconvert so that keeping your print documents and your web documents current and synchronized is easy.
