Rhinocerous 1.0

Rhinoceros is another one of those terrific 3D nurbs modeling applications. I don't mean just terrific. I mean terrifically terrific. It looks a little intimidating when you first open it up and it is a little bit intimidating. However, the makers of Rhinocerous were not only very generous with help files, but also include a tutorial type manual that will teach you all the concepts involved in using Rhinocerous. Sometimes we don't want to spend a lot of time learning software, but this software is something you'll want to learn and it has so much to offer. Rhinoceros is a professional power modeling application.

Most of the tools you will use the most are right there on the interface graphically and the icons are descriptive enough for you to know what they are for once you do a little reading.

Extensive menu systems offer a wide variety of options and provide powerful editing tools. I'll show them here for you to take a look at to see just what kind of power is involved with this software.

You can set your program options easily.

There are all kinds of options for rendering on an easy to use and understand tab.

Set the number of polygons to your own preferences when creating a mesh from a nurbs object.

Easily set the properties for each object including transparencies, highlights, textures, and bump maps.

When modeling and setting up your object properties you can render in different modes depending on your needs.

If you are serious about 3D modeling then you need to take a serious look at Rhinoceros. I mentioned above the tutorial manual that comes with Rhinoceros. The makers of Rhinoceros don't leave you with just that, (which is more already than most companies give you), there is also a full Rhinoceros User's Guide to go along with that. The User's Guide is full of more tutorials and and how to's so you should never feel lost for very long when first learning the software. This is one of the best sets of documentation I have seen in a long time to come with software. You won't learn Rhinoceros over one night, but you should have no trouble learning the software over time and once you know it, you will be in possession of one of the most powerful 3d modeling applications I have seen. You'll not find another application to match Rhinoceros in power for the cost.
