Alien Skin Xenofex

There were two promises Alien Skin Software made that stayed with me while I played with Xenofex, "Stunning Special Effects Have Never Been So Easy" and "The Most User-Friendly Plug-In on Earth!". They were true to their word on both promises.

Xenofex includes 16 special effects and 160 presets that I can only describe as awesome.

Getting the software installed was a snap, and just take a look at one of the user interfaces.

You can even preview your work as you adjust the controls. The preview panel reflects your adjustments with each change. The zoom control allows you to preview at percentages from 6 - 1600%. The zoom out button is on the left of the progress indicator and zoom in is on the right.

The settings drop down menu holds the presets. Not only can you use presets, but, Xenofex allows you to create your own presets and save them to the settings drop down menu.

It isn't enough to have made such a user friendly interface, Alien Skin provides with the purchase of Xenofex, a users guide that explains what each slider does in detail and plain English, making it even easier to create your own presets.

Also included in the users guide is information related to some specific graphic software that uses this plugin.

Another feature of Xenofex is that it saves your last used settings in an effect. You don't have to go into an interface and try to reproduce a setting that you may not have saved as a preset. (Last used only)

The best way to tell you what these special effects look like, is to show you some examples. None of the examples below took more than a few minutes to create. Just think what you could do if you took some time.
