Access 2000 Access 2000 is the most powerful tool available for database programming. It's not an easy tool to learn, but once you learn it, you have knowledge in using an industry standard product. If you don't want to get into the nuts and bolts of creating a database from scratch, Access 2000 provides many templates for you to choose from that you can customize to your liking. Below is the main interface.
After taking a look at the menus below you will see an example of using one of the templates to create a Contact Management database quickly and easily.
When you open Access 2000 you are presented with the above pop up menu allowing you to open with a blank database, open a wizard, or open an existing database.
After clicking on the templates option you are presented with many different options for a new type.
After you've chosen your type, you can then choose what you want Access to set up for you.
Once that's done, you begin to add or subtract the fields you would like in your database. The following screenshots depict the next operations that happen while Access 2000 is creating your database.
You can pick your screen style and the style you like for your reports.
Pick a name for your database and the Access 2000 wizard is ready to build your database.
You now have a main switchboard that links to your database in different ways.
Below are some of the screen displays that are in the database I created.
The above database took just minutes to create and there are a lot of templates to choose from to get just what you need. If you want something more complex or different than the templates you can create your own. The help for Access 2000 is terrific. Now use one of the links below to move on to another application that is included in the Office 2000 Premium suite of tools.
